Access Statement

We aim to provide the highest standards of service to all our guests and we look forward to welcoming you to DoubleTree by Hilton Stratford-upon-Avon and making your stay an enjoyable one. Facilities available for guests with disability needs are as follows:

Arrival
As you arrive at DoubleTree by Hilton Stratford-upon-Avon, you will find approximately 90 parking spaces of which 3 are specifically reserved for blue badge holders. There is a dropped level kerb and paved route from the disabled parking into the hotel with a push button door for assisted opening.  The main hotel entrance is via an automatic revolving door that can be fully opened upon request.  If you need assistance with luggage or equipment, our reception team will assist 24 hours.

Reception
The Reception desk is located on the ground floor of the hotel in the entrance lobby. The reception desk is 109 cm high with a lower level section at 66cm high, although check-in can also be completed whilst sitting at a table in the lounge if required.

You will be offered a personal check-in service with a full explanation of the hotel's facilities together with a familiarisation tour if required. Assistance is available to help take your luggage to your room.

Reception staff will also brief you on our evacuation policy and fill out a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan if required.

The following accessible aids are available at Reception:
- Portable Induction Loop for use at Reception
- Large Button Phone
- Vibrating Pad to assist waking guests with hearing disabilities in the event of a fire alarm
- Multiple refuge points are available in the hotel to assist with evacuationto the right of the main reception are the lifts to the first and second floor bedrooms.

Bedrooms
The DoubleTree by Hilton Stratford-upon-Avon has one purpose built accessible room on the ground floor. Items of furniture can also be moved or removed on request.

Public Areas
There are no steps or slopes on the main corridors and public areas on the ground floor.

All the restaurant, bar and lounge facilities at DoubleTree by Hilton Stratford-upon-Avon are located on the ground floor making them easily accessible.  All lifts have audible enunciation and tactile buttons at standard height. Accessible toilet facilities are located in the lounge area on the ground floor. There is good network coverage for mobile phones within the hotel. All networks work.

Conference, Banqueting & Meeting Rooms
Our meeting rooms are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible from Reception. Hearing loops are available upon request in advance. Lighting can be dimmed where required.

Please notify your conference or banquet for specific seating or staging requirements.

Accessible toilet facilities are located in the lounge area on the ground floor.

Outdoor Facilities
The patio area can be accessed via the rear entrance to the hotel, which is level and paved.

Alternative means of transport
If not travelling by car, the nearest bus stop is located at the front of the hotelon Alcester Road. Bus routes and timetables can be given upon request. 

The nearest train station is located next to the hotel, less than a five-minute walk.

The town centre is just 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel entrance.
